Delete your PeanutStudy data
Last updated 5 November 2026
This page is for PeanutStudy, run by Seungwan Kang (PeanutStudy). You can delete your data in the app at any time, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app
- Open Settings.
- Under Your data, tap Delete my data and confirm.
- If you signed in, this also deletes your account and the backup of your save (if you signed out since, sign in again first).
- The app then offers to erase everything on your device too. Choose that if you want a clean start.
Without the app
Email baduruduru0722@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data" and your 6-letter friend code. We will delete that room and its notes within one month and let you know when it is done. We ask for the code because there is nothing else linking your data to you. If you signed in, send it from the email address of your account (or say which Apple or Google account you used) and we delete the account and its backup too.
What gets deleted
- Your shared room and everything saved with it: furniture, your animal's name, species and outfit, your live ID, and the passport parts you chose to share.
- Notes waiting for you, and notes you left that have not been collected.
- Gifts you sent or received.
- This device's friend invites that are not finished and, for friends you invited, a finished one where only your own thank-you was still waiting. Any other finished invite stays until a year after it finished, with this device's token removed, so the other person still gets their thank-you and their count of friends stays right. After that only a count of friends thanked for each friend code is kept.
- This device's usage counts, under its random device ID, and the link to its answer to the free trial question in Korea, if it gave one. The answer itself stays for 3 years after the trial ends with nothing that leads back to you, because the law asks us to be able to show the question was asked.
- This device's live village records: where it was last seen, its focusing stretches, and the link between its live ID and its scrambled token.
- Your reminder subscription and plan on the web, or your phone's push token in the iPhone and Android app. If you cannot reach the app, these are removed by themselves after 90 days.
- If you signed in: your account and the backup of your save.
- If you also choose to erase your device: your animal, peanuts, streak, sessions, room, passport and settings.
What is kept
- Purchase records stay on the server for 400 days, so a refunded purchase's gold peanuts can be taken back. They sit under a scrambled form of the random device ID and hold no name or contact details.
- Usage events the iPhone and Android app already sent to PostHog stay there, under a random ID nothing on your device points to any more.
- Feedback notes carry no device ID, name or contact, so we cannot find yours. They are deleted after a year.
- A moving code you made stays on the server, encrypted so we cannot read it, until it is used or 7 days pass.
- Crash reports are deleted after about 30 days.
If you never signed in, we cannot connect these records to you from an email. If you signed in, the random device ID was inside your account's backup until you deleted it. Apple, Google and RevenueCat (which checks purchases for us) keep their own purchase records. Deleting your data does not cancel Peanut Club: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. The live village is never stored in the first place. A note or gift you already delivered, or a postcard you shared, stays with the people you sent it to. Backup codes and files you made stay wherever you put them, so delete those yourself.
