PeanutStudy Terms of Use

PeanutStudy is a cozy focus app, free to use with optional purchases, run by Seungwan Kang, trading as PeanutStudy. By using it you agree to these few terms. Questions: baduruduru0722@gmail.com.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PeanutStudy on devices you own or control, for your own use, and as the rules of the store you got it from allow. Please do not copy, resell or reverse engineer it, except where the law lets you.
Using PeanutStudy
- Players 13 and over sign in at the end of setup, and their progress is backed up to their account. Under 13 there is no account: progress lives on your device, so keep a backup code or backup file if you want to move it or keep it safe. If your browser's data is cleared without a backup, we cannot bring it back.
- Your backup code also lets the device holding it change your shared room. Keep it to yourself.
- If you are under 13, PeanutStudy works only on your device: playing with people online and sharing your room are off.
- The village is never empty. Besides real people studying online, the town fills its seats with animals the app runs itself. They look like other students focusing, with a name, a flag and a handle, but they are part of the town's atmosphere, not real people. They are never in your friends list, never send you invites, and are never used to sell you anything.
Being kind in the village
- Your animal's name, your room and the passport parts you share can be seen by friends who have your friend code (people you do not know only ever see your animal, with a made-up name like "Mossy Duck"). Do not use them to be mean, to share someone else's personal details, or to pretend to be someone else.
- Phrases and notes come from a preset list, so there is no free chat.
- Do not try to break, overload or misuse the online features, or read data that is not meant for you.
If someone misuses a name or a room, email baduruduru0722@gmail.com with their friend code. We may remove a room that breaks these rules.
Peanuts and rewards
Peanuts, gold peanuts, outfits and furniture are part of the game. You earn them by focusing, and gold peanuts can also be bought. They have no money value, and they cannot be sold, exchanged or cashed out. Reward videos are optional.
Purchases and Peanut Club
- In the iPhone and Android app, people 13 and over can buy gold peanut packs, the starter bundle and Peanut Club. Players under 13 cannot buy anything. Studying stays free, and animals you unlock by studying stay yours. Peanut Club adds the subscription benefits shown before you purchase.
- Purchases are made and paid through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms, and that store's payment and refund rules apply. Ask the store for a refund. If a purchase is refunded, the gold peanuts it gave are taken back the next time the app opens, down to zero at most.
- Peanuts and gold peanuts are in-app items. They cannot be moved to another person, and they live on your device like the rest of your progress, so keep a backup.
- Peanut Club is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The price and period are shown before you confirm. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm, or when a free trial ends unless you cancel before then. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it. If you buy during a free trial, the rest of the trial ends.
- The app can restore Peanut Club and your purchases from the store where you bought them.
- On iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies to the app.
What is yours
What you write (your names, wish, goals, tasks) is yours. Sharing a room or a passport part lets other people with your friend code see it, until you turn sharing off or delete your data. The app, its art and its sounds belong to PeanutStudy.
No guarantees
PeanutStudy is offered as it is. We try to keep it working and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs. The online features may change or stop, and the app keeps working on your device without them.
Your legal rights
Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for progress lost when a device's data is cleared without a backup.

If you got PeanutStudy from the App Store
These points apply as well, and they win if anything above disagrees with them:
- These terms are between you and PeanutStudy only, not Apple. We alone are responsible for the app and its content.
- The licence above covers Apple-branded products you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow, including Family Sharing.
- We alone provide maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to do so.
- We are responsible for any warranty that applies by law. If the app fails to meet one, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, handle any claims about the app, including product liability, failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If someone claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling that claim.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data agreement.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
If you got PeanutStudy from Google Play
The Google Play Terms of Service also apply to how you download the app. These terms are between you and PeanutStudy, and we, not Google, are responsible for the app and its support.
