1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Peanut Study Buddy (the "Service"), including our mobile application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Hyunsung Shin ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Peanut Study Buddy is a social study application that helps students focus and stay motivated by studying together with friends. The Service includes features such as shared study timers, virtual study rooms, friend streaks, challenges, rewards, and customizable hamster avatars.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or use the Service.

If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5. Acceptable Use

Peanut Study Buddy is a friendly, supportive community. You agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post or share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service
• Manipulate study streaks, rewards, or other gamification features through dishonest means

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or submit through the Service (such as your display name and profile information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your personal data. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Intellectual Property

The Peanut Study Buddy app, website, brand name, logo, hamster mascot, visual design, and all related content are the property of Hyunsung Shin and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

8. Virtual Rewards and Streaks

The Service includes virtual rewards, badges, streaks, and other gamification features. These features:

• Have no monetary or real-world value
• Are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged, sold, or traded
• May be modified, adjusted, or reset by us at any time
• Are provided for entertainment and motivation purposes only

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms other users or the Service.

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any specific academic results will be achieved through use of the Service
• All features will be available at all times

Peanut Study Buddy is a study motivation and social tool. It is not a substitute for academic instruction, tutoring, or professional educational services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hyunsung Shin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
